Our research is designing efficient protocols for wireless sensor networks.  This is multidisciplinary research involving faculty in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Ophthalmology, Neurosurgery, and Chemical Engineering.  You can find links to some of our collaborators on the Groups page.
Our primary interest is in supporting the development of large-scale or data-intensive wireless sensor networks for specific applications, such as biomedical or environmental sensors.  This is necessarily multidisciplinary research, since it requires domain-specific knowledge as well as research advances in these areas.  We are also interested extending this knowledge for the development of improved protocols for generic wireless sensor networks.  Both of these interests are reflected in our publications.
